The original Faith Guitar model from the Original Faith Guitar series.

Back in 2002 when Faith guitars were conceived, the Venus was the first distinct model to be born. Now in its third major iteration, this iconic model has stood the test of time with its classic tonewood combination and its simple beauty.

The importance of body shape:

The importance of body shape:

One of the first three Faith body shapes launched in the winter of 2002, the Venus has since become a reference point when looking for a guitar body shape that strikes the ideal balance of size and sound. Thanks to its 15" lower bout and shallower body, the Venus is comfortable to play for long periods yet doesn’t sacrifice tone or acoustic power.

Which tonewoods are used and why?

Which tonewoods are used and why?

The top of the Natural Venus is Premium-grade Engelmann Spruce, and the back and sides are made from our favourite Indonesian Mahogany, both of which are all-solid, of course. The Spruce top is finished with a gloss lacquer whereas the back and sides have a soft satin sheen.  As spruce is naturally stiff and resonant, when it is lacquered, the resonant overtones are controlled a little more than if it were satin finished, so the tone is a little more focussed and direct.

How does it all come together?

How does it all come together?

The Spruce and Mahogany combo has long been a favoured acoustic guitar recipe, and for good reason too. Spruce is naturally stiff and resonant, and when lacquered, the resonant overtones are controlled a little more than if it were satin finished. The Mahogany is a softer wood which results in it being more mellow, and so when paired, the tone is warm and almost vocal in nature. All the tonewoods remain in their ‘natural’ state, showing their original colours and grain patterns, with only the electronics breaking up the show of understated beauty.

Natural Series guitars are bound with solid Rosewood which borders the lighter woods with its grained, deep brown hues. All other fittings on the Natural models – fingerboard, bridge, pins, headplate - are made from Solid Indonesian Ebony. This premium hardwood is usually dark, with deep colours woven in, often in a striped or swirled pattern.

The Electronics:

The Electronics:

Amplifying the Natural Venus is simple thanks to the Fishman INK3 preamp and piezo pickup system. The undersaddle pickup is controlled by a side-mounted, flush-fitting preamp with 3 band EQ and a built-in tuner. The output socket is mounted into the end of the guitar with an ingeniously integrated battery box and separate strap button.

The Case:

The Case:

Your new Faith Venus Natural comes complete with a plush-lined hard case, ideal for protecting your guitar whether at home awaiting its next practise session or whether travelling from gig to gig.

The guitar is stunning and plays beautifully! It's the first acoustic guitar I've ever brought new and it's going to stay with me for a long time! I did my research online and went to try one out in store, gave it a strum and I was sold!

Brilliant sounding and great looking guitar. My favourite that I tried in the shop although I did spend much more than I intended to. My playing just needs to improve to live up to the quality of the instrument to justify my investment.
    Mark -
    Lovely lovely sound
    John Whitehead -
I have yet to use the preamp but the acoustic sound is pretty good for a new guitar. I had a s/h BMV which I sold and almost immediately regretted. This is not as pretty but I am very happy with it.
, especially at the very low price I paid
    Paul Halford -
It is the same model guitar that I started with back in 2010. After trying other brands, shapes and sizes over the last 13 years, I've come back the the Venus Natural. Great sound, fantastic quality, and about as easy to play as anything else out there. Fabulous!
    Roy Moor -

For the size of guitar, my Faith Natural Venus has a very warm and full tone, whether acoustically or amplified. Other players have remarked that it sounds better than more expensive makes. It is very well balanced and comfortable to play whether strummed or finger style.
    Ed Wrazen -
I am very impressed. I had no idea about Faith until I was shown the guitar and it just sounded great. I then went back to the shop about a week later and bought it there and then.
    Benjamin Baccas -

    Malcolm Rowell -
Absolutely love it. Lovely tone, comfortable size (G A), good action, superb finish, solid wood, looks beautiful and top quality for the price. Very pleased for hard case supplied. Hats off to Patrick J Eggle for designing and producing this top quality instrument.
Tried other brands but kept coming back to this FV Natural Venus. Also, have read lots of reviews, this one was true and spot on.
    Patrick Watkins -
Very good setup out of the box, easy to transition from electric to this guitar. Very happy.

A point of note though is that part of the case lining is not stuck down. I'll be in contact to find out how best to remedy.
    Adam Westran -
    Love it!
    Keith Sayle -
I was the winner of the Natural Venus Guitar from back in June. I absolutely adore this guitar. The tone is very balanced and isn't lacking. I have compared it with my friends' guitars that have different tones and while they are great. the balanced tone of the Natural Venus makes it very versatile.
    Jordan-Lee Johnstone -
it is as good as my Taylor guitar if not a slightly better
    David Aldread -
    Beautiful.
    Arthur Budd -
