FX Exotic

FX guitars celebrate the beautiful and exciting exotic characteristics of two tonewoods indigenous to Indonesia - Mango and Trembesi.

Mango usually has a naturally light-brown base hue, although the mango trees that grow in Java, Indonesia (where our workshops are based) are lighter in colour than the more common Hawaiian Mango species. Mango is a 'hybrid' of a hardwood and a softwood, comparable to Mahogany, Koa, or Trembesi, and we select the stiffest pieces we can to give the very best tone for these remarkable instruments. 

Trembesi grows freely across Indonesia. The natural grain patterns are beautiful, with each all-solid instrument being an individual masterpiece. Similar to mahogany in its rigidity and tonal range, Trembesi has swiftly become a staple and assuredly sustainable tonewood in the Faith range.

All FX guitars feature our Neptune Cutaway Baby-Jumbo body shape. 

The design of the Faith Neptune draws inspiration from Patrick James Eggle's renowned 'Saluda' body shape. This body shape, referred to as the 'Baby-Jumbo' due to its 16" lower bout, offers a powerful and robust sound without the bulk of a full-sized 17” Jumbo guitar. All FX models, like many other Faith Neptune guitars, come with a cutaway which gives easy access to the upper frets as well as reducing the physical size just a little more.

The Fishman INK3 preamp and sonicore pickup system make it easy to amplify your FX guitar. The undersaddle piezo pickup is controlled by the side-mounted, flush-fitting preamp with 3 band equalisation and a built-in tuner.

The output jack, battery box and strap button are cleverly and discreetly built into the end of the guitar.

To ensure that your beautiful new instrument is well protected and cared for, your guitar is complete with a woodshell hardcase, with padded plush interior. We recommend that you keep your guitar in the hardcase whenever not in use.
