The importance of body shape:

One of the 3 original Faith body shapes upon launch in the winter of 2002, the Venus has become a reference point around the world as a guitar that strikes the ideal balance of size and sound. Thanks to its 15" lower bout and shallower body, the Venus is comfortable to play for long periods yet doesn’t sacrifice tone or acoustic power.

Which tonewoods are used and why?

Mango sits somewhere between a hardwood and a softwood, not dissimilar to Mahogany, Koa or in fact Trembesi (as used on our second FKVTHS PMT Exclusive Venus Honey Stain model). Each log can of course vary in its particular hardness, but we select the stiffest boards we can to ensure the best tone.

If you long for a crisply articulate and unmistakably warm tone, then Mango may just be what you’ve been looking for.

How does it all come together?

Tonally, Mango is most comfortable in the upper-bass frequencies, holding through the mid-range, and dropping off at the top. So, with measured playing you’ll find a rewarding sound that successfully combines warmth with remarkable depth.

True to its ‘Naked’ name, all the woods used are left to show their original colours and grain patterns, with only the electronics breaking up the show of beautiful simplicity.

The Electronics:

This Naked Venus is equipped with a Fishman Presys 1 preamp system and an undersaddle piezo pickup strip. This elegant solution is super easy to use, with an easy to read built-in tuner, an EQ contour control, phase switch (to control any feedback on stage), and a volume knob. 

The output jack is integrated into the strap button on the base of the guitar, with the battery compartment located separately for easy access.

The Gigbag:

Your Faith Naked guitar is supplied complete with a padded gigbag with handles, backstraps and an accessory pocket. And, when your gig schedule demands it, you can upgrade to a hardcase for even more protection too.
