Beneath the outer, true character resides.

Faith Naked models have the very soul of the guitar exposed for all to hear and experience. Each instrument is beautiful in its simplicity and unadorned with cosmetic additions, and as such, it is more accessible to players of all levels.

Beautifully looking and sounding. Very well made and a pleasure to play.

The importance of body shape:

The importance of body shape:

The Venus is the much-loved, all-round winner of a shape, and is one of the 3 original Faith body shapes launched in the winter of 2002. In fact, the Venus has become an industry reference point as a guitar that strikes the ideal balance of size and sound. Thanks to its 15" lower bout and shallower body, the Venus is comfortable to play for long periods yet doesn’t sacrifice tone or acoustic power.

In its 12-string guise, the Naked Venus 12 is a joy to play compared to the majority of other 12 string guitars with an easily manageable body and remarkably slim neck profile too.

Which tonewoods are used and why?

Which tonewoods are used and why?

The top of the Naked Venus 12 is Engelmann Spruce and the back and sides are Indonesian Mahogany, both of which are all-solid, of course, and they both have a soft satin finish too. This satin finish is essentially a very thin layer of unpolished lacquer, which means not only can it be completed a little more quickly than a thicker, gloss lacquer finish and therefore be more affordable, but most importantly, the all-solid tonewood can move and resonate more than if it were restricted by lacquer. This freedom of movement afforded by the satin finish means that the tone of this 12-string guitar is sparkly and jangly, with the body proudly displaying the war wounds of every musical encounter.

How does it all come together?

How does it all come together?

The Spruce and Mahogany combo has long been a default acoustic guitar recipe, and for good reason too. The sonic and visual brightness of the Spruce is tamed a little by the more mellow, softwood tones of the mahogany. True to its ‘Naked’ name, all the woods used are left to show their original colours and grain patterns, with only the electronics breaking up the show of beautiful simplicity.

The headstock is a little larger than found on a six string guitar, but the Venus Naked 12 remains well balanced. Each tuning peg / machinehead is easily accessible, allowing you to tune with ease. And in case you're worried, 12 strings really aren't that hard to tune

The Electronics.

The Electronics.

This Naked Venus 12 string is equipped with a Fishman Presys 1 preamp system and an undersaddle piezo pickup strip. This elegant solution is super easy to use, with an easy-to-read built-in tuner, an EQ contour control, phase switch (to control any feedback on stage), and a volume knob.

The output jack is integrated into the strap button on the base of the guitar, with the battery compartment located separately for easy access.

The Gigbag:

The Gigbag:

Your Faith Naked Venus 12 string is supplied complete with a padded, Faith gigbag which is equipped with handles, backstraps and an accessory pocket, so you'll be ready to safely take your guitar wherever you desire. In the future, if your travels become more regular or demanding, you can always upgrade to a hardcase.

Beautiful finish, immediately playable - almost as easy as my 6 string acoustic (Faith Neptune Cutaway Trembesi). Great sound acoustically and powerful punch when amplified - offers delicate sounds too when played finger style.
    Alex Marsh -
Played nicely straight away and love the sound.
    Peter Brunt -
Wonderful sound straight out of the box. First 12 String but extremely easy to play. Beautiful instrument.
    Robert Bollen -
My first Faith guitar, purchased after extensive research. Absolutely delighted with the smooth tuning and the ease of playing. Tone is fantastic: warm, rich bass with sparking highs, and great sustain. A joy to play, it almost feels alive. Highly recommended.
    Nick Pither -
I was impressed by intonation and tonal quality. It is easy to play ,well constructed All this fresh out of the box.
    Congratulations
    David Gardiner -
I am new to 12 string guitars. The sound is amazing. The look is amazing. It is light - lighter than my deadnought acoustic. The neck is a bit wide and flat compared to what I was used to. It is harder to play than a normal acoustic. It is probably normal. I am happy.
    Tam?s Nagy -
    Absolutely fabulous.

Intonation action playability perfect with clean a sound but not over bright, perfect for many sounds you need for your song writing or for your Venues, proud to do gigs with this instrument.
    A big thanks to Faith.
    Richard Claridge.
    Richard Claridge -
Bright and clear, loud warm. Excellent craftsmanship, almost flawless spruce top, but flawless back and sides
    Brian Burgess -
Blown away, purchased on a trip to the UK, never heard of Faith until visiting Foulds Guitars in Derby. Came back to the US and was actually purchasing another 12 string and the owner suggested this one over the phone. I went ahead and spent the extra money and so glad I did. Best sounding guitar in my lot of acoustics. Unbelievable tone, stays in tune and the electronics are fantastic. Can't say enough about this guitar.
    Damian Marmion -
The Naked Venus 12-string is my third Faith guitar, and like the other 2, I love this one. The look is simple yet elegant, the tone is gorgeous, and the action is low and easy to play for my small hands. I think I'm sold on Faith Guitars.
    Robert Saxon -
    Stunning

    Allan Pettie -
Most impressed by the sound and build quality.
    Phil Barker -
Excellent in all aspects especially the OM size body neck profile and string spacing. Both acoustic and plug in sounds just what I was looking for.
    Andrew Lipscombe -
Fairly plain in appearance as the name suggests but beautifully made and finished - easily the equal of my two Taylors . It was set up perfectly for me out of the box ready to play immediately and it sounds FANTASTIC !!!!! ; tone is slightly warm and woody with great projection when strummed and well capable of going loud , finger picking is just as good with real nuance and delicacy to the sound . The neck feels great under the hand and isn't as chunky as some 12 strings I've played though I should point out that while it's ideal for me I don't have big hands so other players may not find it so comfortable .
    Stuart McCabe -
GREAT SOUND AND PLAYABILITY FOR THE PRICE
    GARY HOPKINS -
Wonderfully put together and set up out of the box. Easiest 12 string to play that I tried (and I tried many). Easiest 12 string for finger style that I tried and that was the clincher for me
    Irmeet Banga -
Beautifully looking and sounding. Very well made and a pleasure to play.
