Faith Naked models have the very soul of the guitar exposed for all to hear and experience. Each instrument is beautiful in its simplicity and unadorned with cosmetic additions, and as such, it is more accessible to players of all levels.

This Faith All-Mahogany Venus delivers a clear tone which is sweet and woody with plenty of mid-range articulation.

Using Mahogany for both the top and body of a guitar makes for a very “friendly” instrument that responds well to hard picking, strumming and finger-style techniques alike. Further to this, the sound produced is unburdened by overly audible overtones and harmonics, so they perform brilliantly when recording, giving the player – and audience – an uncomplicated, linear delivery.

The importance of body shape:

The importance of body shape:

The Venus stands out as the most renowned among the trio of original Faith body shapes introduced in the winter of 2002. Since then, it has established itself as a benchmark for guitars that perfectly blend size and sound. With its 15" lower bout and sleeker body design, the Venus offers both comfort during extended play sessions and maintains exceptional tone and acoustic prowess.

Which tonewoods are used and why?

Which tonewoods are used and why?

The FKVMG boasts a smooth satin Mahogany finish on its top, back, and sides, all crafted from solid wood, naturally. This satin textured finish crucially allows the all-solid tonewood to breathe and resonate unrestricted. This freedom of movement granted by the satin finish enhances the instrument's liveliness. As with all Naked models, the body proudly showcases the unique marks of each musical journey it undertakes.

How does it all come together?

How does it all come together?

Mahogany's density and structural properties contribute to good sustain, allowing notes to ring out wonderfully, and offer pronounced mid-range clarity. Both characteristics are particularly evident with all-mahogany instruments.

Like its various Naked series counterparts, the Naked Venus Mahogany is equipped with a striped Ebony fingerboard, bridge and bridge pins too.

The Electronics:

The Electronics:

This Naked Venus is equipped with a Fishman Presys 1 preamp system and an undersaddle piezo pickup strip. This elegant solution is super easy to use, with an easy-to-read built-in tuner, an EQ contour control, phase switch (to control any feedback on stage), and a volume knob.

The output jack is integrated into the strap button on the base of the guitar, with the battery compartment located separately for easy access.

The Gigbag:

The Gigbag:

Your Faith Naked will be supplied complete with a padded gigbag, equipped with handles, backstraps and an accessory pocket. And, when the time is right, you can upgrade to a hardcase too.

Well built, clean, modern looks and the sound I was looking for from an all solid mahogany guitar.
First time I have purchased a guitar online (due to lockdown) and without playing it, but thanks to the staff at Reidy's, Blackburn, I was not disappointed. The guitar was extremely well packaged. Slight problem withe zip on the gig bag which is being dealt with.

So far, fabulous. Unfortunately it has previously suffered a crack to the top which I hope to have repaired, although this does not appear to affect the tone. Beautifully easy to play.
