Why choose Faith Blood Moon

Our award-winning Blood Moon guitars caused a real stir when first released, and continue to this day. They are strikingly beautiful instruments which use only the finest, highly figured Javanese Trembesi for the top, back and sides.

Trembesi - which is admittedly not the most well known of guitar tonewoods - is indigenous to the Indonesian island of Java, and grows freely amongst the (commercially maintained) timber plantations. Loosely related to the Indonesian Mahogany variants, it has until now been mainly used in the furniture industry, but on one of our regular visits to our workshops in Java, we investigated its tonal properties too... and we're very pleased we did!

With an appearance not unlike Hawaiian Koa, a solid Trembesi instrument reacts similarly to Mahogany, delivering warmth and balance across the strings, but has an extra little rosewood-eque sparkle at the top end.

The Blood Moon, deep red finish is a subtle burst of ochre, deep-orange and mid-red stains, and contrasts perfectly with the solid flamed maple binding.

Now with 2 body shapes available in this stunning range - the Venus Cut Electro (FVBMB) (includes left-handed model), and the Neptune Cut Electro (FNCEBMB) - you have a great choice of ways to enjoy this award-winning range of Faith Guitars.
