The importance of body shape:

The Faith Neptune's design is based on Patrick James Eggle's acclaimed 'Saluda' body design. This unique body shape, that we call a 'Baby-Jumbo' because of its 16" lower bout, delivers a strong and dynamic sound while avoiding the bulkiness of a full-sized 17” Jumbo guitar. Like many other Faith Neptune guitars, the Harvest Moon Neptune model also features a cutaway, providing convenient access to the higher frets and slightly reducing the overall physical dimensions and weight.

Which tonewoods are used and why?

A body made entirely from Trembesi wood, lacquered with no colouration allows you to experience the purity of this fantastic timber. Trembesi grows freely across Indonesia and has been widely used in the decorative furniture industry for many years. It was under a decade ago that we decided to try it in the context of guitar building, and we’re so pleased we did! The natural grain patterns are beautiful, with each all-solid instrument being an individual masterpiece. 

Similar to mahogany in its rigidity and tonal range, Trembesi has swiftly become a staple and assuredly sustainable tonewood in the Faith range.

How does it all come together?

With this Neptune Harvest Moon model, you get to fully experience the pure and natural appearance of Trembesi. With numerous naturally occurring browns, yellows and even pale oranges, the colouration of each Harvest Moon is as unique as you are. Sometimes with vertical stripes, sometimes with simple but curvaceous sweeps of grain, sometimes even with horizontal flaming, this remarkable natural-finish Trembesi tonewood is matched with subtly striped, solid Ebony binding and solid Ebony Fittings too.

Tonally, the Harvest Moon Neptune will deliver a richly mid-focussed sound, similar to that of a solid mahogany guitar. Warm and woody, this guitar will reward a player that likes to ‘dig-in’ and make the tonewood move, releasing its true – and unique – voice.

The Electronics:

The Fishman INK3 preamp and sonicore pickup system make it easy to amplify the Neptune FX Harvest Moon. The undersaddle piezo pickup is controlled by the side-mounted, flush-fitting preamp with 3 band equalisation and a built-in tuner. The output jack, battery box and strap button are cleverly and discreetly built into the end of the guitar.

The Case:

To ensure that your beautiful new instrument is well protected and cared for, your guitar is complete with a woodshell hardcase, with padded plush interior. We recommend that you keep your guitar in the hardcase whenever not in use.
